The “Stronger Civil Society in the field of Migration” Training, organized in eight provinces of Turkey within the scope of the Migration and Civil Society Project, continues the trainings to improve the capacities of NGOs working in the field of migration and international protection. This week, the training held in Izmir between February 26-27 brought together more than 30 CSO representatives. The program, which lasts for two days with the presentations of trainers. First part of training includes the basic concepts and legislation in the field to improve the technical knowledge of CSOs in the field of migration, and then second part continues with the project management and alternative funding sources to strengthen the sustainability of CSOs. The public institutions and civil society come together within the scope of trainings, which is designed to develop cooperation and dialogue between CSOs actively working in the field of migration and international protection and public. In the training, where the participants from the Directorate General of Migration Management and Izmir Provincial Migration Management were also hosted, the public-CSO relationship was discussed and topics such as how to reach stakeholders in which city, what are the recommendations of the organizations for interaction with the public. The training ended after the certificate was delivered to the participants.
The next training will be held in Antalya on 9-10 and 11-12 March. The next Izmir training will take place on April 20-21.
