“STRONGER CIVIL SOCIETY IN THE FIELD OF MIGRATION ” TRAININGS IN ANTALYA

The “Stronger Civil Society in the field of Migration ” Training was held in Antalya with the CSO representativs from different parts of Turkey. Two separate trainings are delivered to the representatives of different CSOs on 9-10 and 11-12 March. In the first day of the training, the sessions to increase the knowledge level of civil society organizations in the field of migration was delivered in accordance with the training agenda. CSOs including Eksi 25 Derneği, Mersin Romanlar Derneği, Hatay DOM Kadınlar Derneği, which are working on different thematic issues of migration shared their experiences. Trainings on migration studies, legislation and comprehensive issues related to policies continue with the active participation of more than 30 CSO representatives, comments and questions. The second day of the training will start with a question-answer session to develop cooperation between CSOs and public institutions and continue wtih the project cycle management sessions. The experts from the Directorate General of Migration Management and Antalya Provincial Directorate of Migration Migration was also participated in the training and the cooperation opportunities for public-CSO cooperation in the field of migration and international protection was discusses together with CSOs in the trainings. Participants had the opportunity to develop their dialogues with the public through experts.

The first five of the “Stronger Civil Society in the field of Migration” Trainings organized for CSOs representatives within the scope of the Migration and Civil Society Project were held in Ankara, Gaziantep, İstanbul and Izmir. The 6th and 7th trainings are held in Antalya on 9-10 March and 11-12 March.
